    Problems from the start

If the administrator cannot be configured properly to access the database, the example(s) from the book are useless. The book does not provide the instruction needed to adequately do this. Add this to the long line of 'Dummies' books that simply fall short of teaching their respective topic (although exclude 'ASP.NET for Dummies' as that book DOES hit the mark!)
