"Author of Colette's Cakes and Colette's Christmas, Colette Peters is one of the foremost cake designers in the United States. She runs her own cake-designing business in New York City, Colette's Cakes, and in 1995 designed the cake for the fabled marriage of Chantal Miller and Prince Pavlos of Greece at the palace of HamptonCourt, England. Her creations have been displayed at the American Craft Museum and the Smithsonian and featured in Tiffany Taste and The Tiffany Wedding, as well as the New York Times, Town & Country, Chocolatier, Ladies' Home Journal, Woman's Day, Modern Bride, and Bride's."

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Peters ( Colette's Cakes , LJ 8/91) was a designer at Tiffany's before starting a successful cake-designing business in New York City, and her artistic talents are evident in the elaborate, often jewellike cookies, cakes, and ornaments and decorations in her new book. Decoration is the star in this collection of whimsical fantasies, from stunning stained glass cakes to a miniature Victorian greenhouse constructed of royal icing. There are some less complicated projects, and holiday bakers will be inspired by the cut-out cookies and gift ideas--but busy cooks would probably have to start now to complete some of these creations before next year's Christmas! For most baking collections.
