    Colettes Prayer was excellent!

I have never read a book before that actually made me laugh out loud and then cry tears a few chapters later. I was even shocked at times. I would highly recommend this book. I can't wait for the next one!

    Dreaming of Charmantes

I loved Colette's Prayer and did not want to put the book down. It was thought evoking, interesting and very emotional. I laughed and cried. I enjoyed the different characters and the way my outlook towards them changed as I read on. I was very disappointed when the book ended and found myself wondering what else could happen on that island. I cannot wait until the follow up book is completed. I have recommended this book to several friends and enjoy reliving it as I discuss it with them. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from their life for a little while. You will find yourself 'dreaming of Charmantes.'

    Enrapturing from start to finish

From cover to cover, Colette¿s Prayer reeled me in to the point that all I did and all I wanted to do was read this book. I would read all night, yet first thing I did in the morning was sit down with my coffee and my copy of Colette¿s Prayer. This novel is at once romantic, adventurous, tragic, tense hopeful, spiritual and yes, funny. A tremendous sense of humor is employed throughout as a release to the dramatic tension. The characters are warm, charming, rough, stubborn, conniving, funny, loving, secretive, evil, tender, strong, and tragic and you will fall in love with them as I did. You may even develop a crush on the two male leads as well. The reader will not want to leave the world of Charmantes. The characters and the story will be remembered long after the book has been finished. If you are looking to be transported to another time and place on a hot sultry island, fall in love and escape your everyday world for a while, this is the book for you. I am waiting with great anticipation for the sequel so that I may join this family once again.

    Captivating

Colette's Prayer is a must read for those who love historical novels. From page one you will be captivated by each personality. This is a 'take it to bed' book...but beware, you will not sleep.

    A unique, meaty read

This unpredictable story keeps moving, and it¿s hard to put the book down. Lots of colorful characters, all kinds of subplots and engaging side-stories (mystery, humor, & intrigue). It yanks at your emotions: a beautiful love story, romantic love, passionate love and destructive love. The most unique leading man I¿ve ever read in this type of novel. It all builds up to a page-turner ending that forces you to keep going 'til you've finished, and leaves you believing that it truly is a wonderful life.

    A magnificient read!

Few books capture your heart and stay with you all day long, Colette's Prayer is one of those rare books. A must read for anyone who loves historic fiction, complex characterization, and a deeply moving love story.
