Meet the Author

L.K. Ludwig (Zelienople, PA) creates art and chases her three small children around in a Victorian Foursquare in a very small town (pop. 4,023) in Western Pennsylvania. Many weekends are spent in the woods and at the river where family memories and art are made. With a strong belief in creating around what she knows—nature, parenting, love, and life—these elements seep deeply into L.K.'s artwork. Her work has been featured in a number of books and magazines and shown in various galleries. She is author of True Vision.

    What A Great Idea!

This book inspired me in so many ways, and got me thinking about all the creative people in my life who I could collaborate with. First on my list are my grandchildren who love to do art work when they come to Nana's house. Having a project that we can mail back and forth, sounds like great fun. I also have artist friends around the world and this is a unique and creative way to stay in touch artistically. Just for inspiration alone, I give it five stars.

Great Book Even for the Solitary Artist

I liked the heavy paper, the gorgeous images, and the inspiration factor most of all. The author does discuss the bennies and the hazards of collaborating, and she covers mail art, online groups, swaps, round robins, you name it. But I feel that any mixed media artist would enjoy the book, whether they work in fiber arts, altered art, the paper arts, assemblage, or collage.

    Great Book

Another great book from L.K. Ludwig! If you're a mixed media artist you need this one on your bookshelf, too. The artwork is fresh and not the same old stuff. And even tho I hesitated to buy at first because I wasn't planning on doing any swaps or collaborations, I'm so glad I got this, it's chalk-full of beautiful artwork and useful information.
