Upon publishing her first book of poems "Sonnets to Duse and Other Poems" (included in this edition), Teasdale experienced critical and commercial success. She moved to New York City in 1916 where she situated herself with the literary and intellectual communities of the day. Her poetic output continued with regularity though Teasdale experienced bouts of depression with increasing frequency. She would later commit suicide at the age of 49.

    Absolutely Wonderful!!!

Sara Teasdale was an amazing poet. You don't have to read between any lines with her. She wrote simply and beautifully. I keep finding new poems that I like and then find out that, once again, it is something by Sara! Incredible. Beautiful. Moving. Keep going!

This is the most complete collection of poems by Sara I have fou

This is the most complete collection of poems by Sara I have found to date. It includes not only her first works as a fledgling poet, but also her very last works published posthumously. Sara Teasdale had a mastery of lyricism that is unmatched. Highly recommended!

One of the best poem books I've read!

I am really not big into poetry. But when I read this book, I was amazed. Poetry was always hard for me to understand and when I did understand it, it was some flowery stuff that I hated. I loved these books by Sara Teasdale and would recommed them to anyone!
