I'm really impressed with this book. I have bought a couple of other collections that were poorly edited, but this collection is well indexed and it displays well on my Nook. There are other Zane Grey collections for less, but this one appears to be pretty complete and it lacks the aggravations I have encountered in other collections so I recommend it. I also have to say that I was surprised by the quality of Zane Grey's writing. I had never read him before and since he wrote these stories about 100 years ago, I expected them to have the stilted language that I have found to be typical of writers of that time. To my surprise, his stories could easily have been written by a contemporary writer. He is certainly the equal of Louis L'Amour. Buy it. You'll enjoy it.

19 books for free. The books were well edited with a few old different spellings of words. The stories seemed to be mostly narrative with limited dialog especially with lectures given for situations, explanations, and descriptions of feelings, but the landscape descriptions were great. His women faint - alot, and I found I could not complete reading the book of the Border Trail; the girl, Joan, should have been put away - from everyone else's misery. Zane did not seem to have a lot of respect for 'savages' except when white men used 'Indian' wiles, and also did not advocate the use of birth control; the more 'Amerian' children born the better. The last book of the Wild Horse Canyon was one of his very best; lots of dialog, some narrative, and very few lectures with great description of a male subject (cowboy) and just a little 'poor me' helpless female.

I read all the Zane Gray books with my Dad when I was a young girl. It was great to get the whole collection for my nook, to be able to re-read them. He was such a great writer.
