Meet the Author

Julia Carroll has been collecting costume jewelry for over 12 years. She taught computer science for many years, and at that time very few published materials were available to teach young children, so she frequently wrote her own lessons. She used this skill in trying to teach others about collecting costume jewelry and outlined the process in her book Collecting Costume Jewelry 101.

    MUST HAVE.....

I was buried in costume jewelry..from my Mom and Aunts estates. Knew some of it was collectable, but didn't have clue how to go about finding what the pieces were. Luckily one of the first books I ordered was this one. Tells you where to find the Hallmarks, what they mean, approximately what year they were produced, designer, etc. Gives you all the information to 'get started'. Ever hear of a 'Coro Duette'? I hadn't but found out I had two, both beautiful and collectable. Highly Recommended!
