    Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain

Collector books seem to be inferior. This book is outdated, arduous, and boring with extremely poor quaility photos of inferior pieces. If I were unfamilar with Limoges - I would not be impress or inspired to collect.

Great book for the advanced collector!

Love that Gaston collaborated with collectors and other authors such as Debby Dubay. The photos are the only little bit of a critism - the information is great! I love Gaston's Antique Limoges at Home.

Gaston & DuBay a great collaborative effort!

Gaston and Dubay the best researchers in the field today on antiques. Highly recommend Antique Limoges at Home by Mary Frank Gaston and Debby DuBay

    Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain

Based on the reviews, I purchased the Gaston Debby Dubay book: Antique Limoges at Home and I highly recommend this book. Antique Limoges at Home is exactly what I was looking for - inspiration to collect, information to know what I was purchasing, all of the back stamps including reproduction marks and American Limoges marks and fantastic photography.

    Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain

As a collector and decorator, I prefer Ms DuBay's style of book. The info in both are great - but DuBay's books have fantastic photographs and then detailed descriptions under each. In addition, the back stamps or mark section is better and in alphabetical order. But where Ms. DuBay's books have beat Ms. Gaston's is in the decorating area. If you want to see fantastic pieces in lovely rooms highly recommend Living With Limoges and Antique Limoges at Home by Debby DuBay.

    Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain

Love Gaston because I found Dubay! How great for the two best to collaborate! In Gaston's book she recommends Limoges Antques Shop and calls it quote 'Limoges Heaven' in addition, Gaston uses hundreds of Dubay's pieces. In Dubay's books Ms Gaston writes the foreword and introduction. WONDERFUL collaboration of the experts!

    Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain

These reviews are to help the unsuspecting select a book -- thus my honesty in reviewing Gaston's Encyclopedia of Limoges. Collector books just do not have the quality I expect in a book of this size and cost. The information is there, but it can be found in several other books that are truly QUALITY books - - reflective of the quality of LIMOGES porcelain! I can not recommend this book.
