I want to warn fellow readers to wait until the second or third books comes out. If you are like me and want to read a book that has an ending and not wait months for it then wait for the whole series to come out. The story line was okay but Emily drove me crazy i hope she grows a backbone in the next book.. I wish this trend of writing books in three parts would end:(

Really frustrated with the ending. There is a 2nd book and its not out yet. If I would have known that, I would have waited to read it. I am really tired of this trend.

I received an ARC copy from the author in exchange for an honest review...
4.5 Stars!! Collide is Freaking Phenomenal!
I'm so glad that this was the book to start off my 2013! I love the way Gail McHugh writes! Her prose is so smooth, the story flowed seamlessly. I think one of my favorite things about this book was the fact that there was so much raw emotion that bled from its pages.
Emily: Her character developed beautifully. Broken, but hanging on to the things she holds dear. Her boyfriend, her sister, her best-friend Olivia, and her boyfriend Dillon. Things seem to be coming together, until.....(enter incredibly, painfully gorgeous, dreamy, fu*kable, amazing, charming Gavin.)
Gavin: Like seriously... where is the machine that turns our book boyfriends into flesh because I am completely head over heels in love with this delectable dude! Gavin Blake is just ...Wow! They way he loves is stunning. The things that he makes Emily feel *sigh*....Fate definitely had a good time with these two, and it will have you holding your breath, jaw dropping to the floor, and smiling like a fool!
Collide is the total package, steamy, fun, and a little heart-wrenching. Gail does a wonderful job at making you feel like you are part of everything that's going on throughout the whole book. By the end, if you don't already feel like you know the characters personally, you may need to re-read it 'cause you definitely missed something. Her characters are as real as they come.

I purchased this a few weeks ago and when I started to read it, didn't recheck reviews. Wait for the other stories to come out. If you like closure in a book, you aren't getting it here. Feels like a waste of precious reading time. Too much drama to sit through to be left hanging. Seriously.
Like another person that left a review stated, I am sick of this trend, too.

These characters are brought to life brillantly and you get sucked in from the get go! I can't wait for the second book, just hope Emily runs in the right direction instead of the wrong!! First book by this author and it definitely wont be my last, a new FAVORITE author!! 5 + STARS

This book was awesome no doubt. Wish I waited for the second book cause the whole story has you waiting for a climax at the very end. Emily is a very frustrating character to read about and I hope she has a stronger personality and backbone in the next one! Hurry up Gail McHughs! This trend of writing a series of books has to end.

Excellent book! I love the drama, I love that she's not some innocent damsel, I love, love Gavin's raw and passionate love for Emily. Gail McHugh cannot not write fast enough for me, I'm going to combust waiting for the next book.

Omg! I couldn't put it down. I loved it and visualized every last bit of it. I wanted to smack Emily and tell her have some self-esteem and tell Douchepickle to hit the road! Gavin...I think I love you! wow...just perfect. A must read that will definitely leave you wanting more. Thank you for writing it now hurry up with Pulse!

So this book is very good in the begining, it was funny andi couldn't put it down. Once I got to about half the book it just started making me bad how ignorant Emily was. The author makes Emily weak and unable so stand up for herself and I couldn't take it........ I seriously almost didn't finish the book because of how annoyed I got with Emily's decisions.... I know there is a part two coming out but I don't know if I am going to purchase it......

Ok, so if you don't love your fiance, and you can't be with the man you do love, why not just be with NO ONE? Why would Emily marry Dillon, a man she is no longer in love with, just because she isn't ready to deal with her scary emotions for Gavin? Also, I effing HATE the end of this book. This cliffhanger sh't has got to stop. If the author knows a second, or more, book is happening, why not just wrap up the first. I'll still buy the next book. The plot is strong. The sexual tension is palpable. The emotions are heart-wrenching. I went through the entire book waiting for the payoff, a reward for putting me through the drama and stress of these characters. I got nada. I would have give this book 5 stars if it wasn't for the ending. Over the trend of breaking books up. It's greedy, and it makes me want to NOT buy the next book to be spiteful. But, d@mn if I don't want to know what happens. I will say I enjoyed the ending because Emily finally sees people for who they are, if ya know what I mean (if you have read it, then you do. If not, then you are not in on this one, sorry.) I recommend this book, but only after warning potential readers, i.e. customers, that it is not a stand alone, and you hate cliffhangers, well, wait for the next however many to come out first, because this one is a doozy. oh, yeah... I EFFING LOVE GAVIN. I hate the term "book boyfriend" so I will call him my book lovah. Mmmmmmm .....

Story line was ok. I was really frustrated with Emilys decisions through out the books. Ive known girls like that in real life and they just need to be slapped! By the end i didnt think she was even worthy of Gavin. But i am now very curious as to where the author plans to take this story in the second book. I just hope its worth the wait!
