I purchased this for my daughter to use for her middle school French class. It has been a great help to her.

This dictionary is helped considerably by example sentences that teach both vocabulary and grammer, but it is mising procunciations, which is fairly unforgivable in a language like French where the words can't be read as written (are not pronounced phonetically according to spelling). Would recommend looking elsewhere for a dictionary that has both example sentences and pronunciations for each word.

I purchased a couple French dictionaries in the past, but this one suits me best. The alphabetic keys and color coding aid in speedy searches. The first entries on how to use, and the center section on conjugation of verbs would be helpful for language students as well.

Starting to learn French and want a nice dictionary? This is one that might fit those needs. Easy access, well laid out with extras for pronouciation. Best of all no tiny print!
