Amazon.com - Totally Booked Blog
"A beautiful and tragic story about love, loss and hope. Wonderfully written characters whose journey will remain in your heart forever."
Amazon.com - Tammara Webber
"Collision Course is a profoundly moving story. Ms. Stephens has penned another story told with raw, messy honesty, and I admire the hell out of her for it. She also writes with hope, and that isn't easy to do, with a story like this one."
Amazon.com - Nicky Charles
"A story of unbelievable depth and a true study of the human spirit, Collision Course will touch your heart, your soul, and drag you through more emotions than you thought possible. This is S.C. Stephens at her best. A must read!"

"Collision Course is not a chick book. It is a human being book. I loved this story. Plain and simple."
Amazon.com - Autumn Review
"Heartbreaking. Devastating. Hopeful. Collision Course is tragically beautiful story about recovering from loss and finding love when you least expect it, but exactly when you need it. SC Stephens never ceases to amaze me with her skill for creating incredibly touching tales."

After reading the Thoughtless series by this author I just knew I had to read everything this author wrote. This book def did not disappoint. My heart bleed for the characters in this book because I can relate so well to them. It will help you put things in perspective following a tragedy and the guilt you carry with you afterward. Even though it's been six and a half years since my fiance died in a tragic motorcycle accident I still mourn the loss. I feel like this book helped me get past some of the issues I still deal with today. I'm not gonna lie I cried because it ripped open those old wounds and brought them to the surface but, by re opening those wounds I feel like I have healed a little more now. Thank you S.C. Stephens this book meant more to me than you know.

The story is so good but so sad, about a high school boy Lucas who gets in a car accident with his 2 friends & girlfriend killing them. As the only survivor, he struggles with depression and wishes he would've died with them. He meets a girl, Sawyer, who he calls his angel & helps him get through it. As he starts to move past his loss, he starts to fall in love with Sawyer. She really is his angel & you see why they both survived death, only to find each other. Love this book, and even more this author.

One of the most heart breaking books I have ever read. I am not much of a crier when it comes to books. I may shed a tear here and there but this book made me ugly cry. I could not believe the grief and shame Lucas carried with him after a horrible car accident that left him the only one to survive. He lost 2 of his best friends and girlfriend in one moment of bad judgement. He believes that everyone blames him for the accident because they all believe that he had been drinking that night even though he was the DD. On his first day back to school after the accident he befriends a girl by the name of Sawyer who helps to guide and comfort him through months of grief. She is such an amazing character because she shoulders his grief and becomes his rock helping him to survive day to day. Things begin to change between the two of them even though Lucas is still in love with his dead girlfriend. I cannot even begin to say how much I loved this book. Every emotion that S.C Stevens portrayed in the book I felt. The characters are simply amazing and the love Lucas finds with Sawyer is nothing but incredible

This is an older title with a new cover rereleased. I really wish if authors are gonna do this they notify reader in summary. For those of us who read so many books we forget descriptions. If it has a different publish date B&N won't notify that you have already read. I have purchased books twice and it's frustrating. I have no problem if you go from self pub to contract w/ big publishing co. and they want to rerelease. JUST PLEASE LET THE READER KNOW!!!!

I couldn't put this book down. It was by far one of the most emotional books I've read in a very long time. The author does such a fantastic job of bringing all the characters to life, you actually feel like you're part of the story. I've recommended this books to so many people now and they all have the same reaction. Don't miss reading this book. I think this should be a required read for every high school student - it's a story of raw emotion, self inflicted guilt, and finally self forgiveness - it's a roller coaster of emotions that I'm glad I experienced.

This book had me from the begining. Honestly I loved all the characters except for Will. I took my time with this book. It gave me so many different emotions, but in the end it was amazing. Can't wait to read the Thoughtless series.

First of all I don't know how I missed this book. I love everything that S.C. Stephens writes but somehow this got past me. Let me say, first of all, this is not a book to be read lightly. It is not a fun, easy read in anyway. So if you are not up to going through a range of emotional heartache, don't read this until you are. This book is beyond feeling...it will suck you into its grip and you will feel everything that each of these characters are going through. The writing is spellbinding. You get to know all of the characters, their thoughts, their feelings, their heartache. I especially liked the way we were able to get to know those that had died. It made for a very special reading experience. I can honestly say that my heart hurt throughout this book. The pain, guilt, suffering was a very real feeling. But I just kept reading, hoping for the very best and yes I got it. The ending was healing and beautifully written. I love books that make you feel as if you are walking in the pages of the story and this is exactly that kind of book. Where there was pain and heartbreak the book will end with hope and redemption, that will leave you will a full heart. An amazing book and a top favorite of 2016 for me!

Collision Course is a tragic, heart-wrenching story about loss, grief, heartache and guilt. It's also a story about friendship and about love. While the storyline itself is slow moving, the characters are well developed and really draw you in. Collision Course is one of those books that really stays with you long after you have put the book down. Be warned: It's a very difficult, emotional read, so be sure to have your tissues ready!!

This is a great book but very emotional. I normally don't stop reading a book once I start reading and have a book finished within two days at most. Collision Course was a book I found myself having to take breaks to give my emotions a break but at the same time not wanting to stop reading so that I could find out what was going to happen next. Am glad I read the book.

I totally felt what the characters were feeling. S.C. Stephens is more gifted then any Author I have read so far.  When I started I wasn't sure I would be able to complete the story as it touched me so strongly. I cried, felt broken and then was brought through the whole experience through the eyes of the most loving eyes!  I extremely recommend this book. Especially to those who have experienced a unexpected loss. I found closure I didn't realize I was needing. I am better for reading this book!

Lucas had a picture perfect life, being on the football team, popular, loving friends and a beautiful devoted girlfriend. Life couldn’t have gotten any better until one night changed everything. Lucas, his girlfriend Lillian, his best friend who was like a brother to him, Darren, and Darren’s girlfriend Sammy were leaving a party. Lucas, who was not a big drinker, was the only sober one of the group. He drove the car back home and a freak sudden downpour of rain made Lucas hydroplane the car and lose control. The car slammed into the railing and plummeted over the side. The accident took the lives of his best friends, leaving him the lone survivor. The accident sparked rumors and gossip about what happened that night. Everyone started believing that Lucas was a ‘reckless drunk driver’ and blame him for the accident. Lucas has to return to school and is constantly harassed and reminded of the horrid night that took a piece of his life away. Lucas struggles with coping with the accident and dealing with his last year of high school. On the first day of school he meets a new girl, Sawyer, who is hiding in the boy’s bathroom. She is different from everyone else in the small town. Sawyer is not judgmental, understanding and eventually helps Lucas cope with his depression. Both Sawyer and Lucas have troubled pasts but find a happy ending with each other. Lucas is unable to break away from his girlfriend and his friends so he visits with them in his dreams. He dreams of Lillian a lot, and in his dreams he finds the courage to tell her that he loves her. He still believes he is in a relationship with her and refuses to let her go. Lucas goes to the extreme of taking sleeping pills. His friends and girlfriend tell him that Lucas needs to start living his life and stop living in his dream world. His peers constantly torment him by them tripping him, hitting him, and drugging him that caused him to get suspended. Lucas reaches his limit and starts questioning his life and the incident. He wonders why he survived, if he was meant to die and if his life is worth living. Lucas contemplates suicide but Sawyer helps him realize that death is not his solution. Stephens is a very talented writer because she allows you to get into Lucas’ head. You feel every emotion he is going through and understand his breakdowns. It was hard not to cry in every chapter as Lucas finds peace and a moment of happiness in his dreams because he can’t find while he is awake. The constant bullying and guilt that consumes Lucas is heartbreaking. Overall Collision Course is a captivating story that covers heavy and controversial topics that will spark your interest to read more from S.C. Stephens.
