About the Author

Khoree 'The Poet' is a Contemporary Spoken Word Artist known for his performances and recordings
consisting of a fusion of Spoken Word, Music and Song. He titles his style of mingling these arts a
Poetic Concert.

Khoree's early years were split between Southern and Northern California. He started writing poetry
regularly during his college years. In 2010, at a friends insistence he performed live for the first time at an
Open Mic in Oakland, California. The rest is history...

Khoree’s poems are about uplifting, empowering and encouraging women to not give up on love and/or
hope. His sensual style and delivery is fused with R&B and Jazz instrumental elements, accompanied by
smooth background vocals. He’s created quite a stir with his deep Barry White toned voice, blended
with an aggressive Teddy Pendergrass attitude and style of poetry setting him apart from the commonly
held idea of spoken word performances.
