    A Wonderful Book to Read

As I read Jack Cavanaugh's The Colonists, I relished in the description of Native American life and in other details of the colonial period in American history. I learned a lot about that time and its culture. I also discovered characters who were realistic and seemed to live in a world where I'd love to spend some time. Their portraits were well-drawn and believable. They became my "friends."

If you're looking for a wonderful book to read, I'd recommend this one.

    Histirc fiction

2nd book in series. I love reading about the founding of our country and those times. Decent story line kept me coming back, but not big action as is comon in this type of book. Christian undertones but not preachy

    Recommend

Good Blend of history facts and fiction. The author blends basic Christian principals in with the actual history that could be retrieved and writes a good historical fiction novel.

A good read [if there is nothing else around]

It lacks that "can't put it down" excitement but the time period and locations makes it mildly interesting. over all,not on my recommend list
