A unique aspect of this atlas is the inclusion of short differential diagnosis, treatment guides, and, where appropriate, laboratory tests. New in the second edition: - chapters on HIV infection and AIDS; renal diseases - new illustrations of lesions and pathologic conditions affecting the oral cavity - additions to and replacement of many illustrations

Incl. HIV infections & AIDS/renal diseases/illus. of lesions & clinical entities/fungal infections/etc.

Editorial Reviews

Booknews
An aid to solving the diagnostic problems posed by oral diseases, primarily for practicing dentists, specialists in oral medicine, oral pathologists and surgeons, dermatologists, and otorhinolaryngologists. The Atlas contains 33 chapters. Each entity is accompanied by color plates and a description of the clinical features, differential diagnosis, helpful laboratory tests, and a brief statement on treatment. This edition (first was 1988) is enlarged and revised to keep pace with current concepts and changes in the field. New chapters on HIV and AIDS and on renal disease have been added, as have numerous new illustrations (bringing the total number of illustrations to 555). Annotation c.
