Can you guess what's hiding behind each color? Lift the flaps and watch Chuck Murphy's colors literally explode off the pages in this eye-popping book.
Children's Literature - Kristin HarrisThis very attractive pop-up/paper engineering book has a major flaw: although it is clearly designed for very young children, they would most likely destroy the fragile pop-ups if allowed to handle the book. Each spread has two 3" square flaps, each one a different color. Lifting the flap reveals a beautifully engineered paper sculpture of a creature(s) in that color-i.e. green snakes, butterflies, flamingos. The grand finale has all colors-a paper sculpture of a coral reef with 20 fish and two seahorses. A pleasing book for young children, but they will require supervision.
