Wow. Forty-four hot springs in Colorado? I've got some traveling

Wow. Forty-four hot springs in Colorado? I've got some traveling to do! This entertaining, comprehensive guide to Colorado's is a must-have for anyone who enjoys exploring the Centennial state. In fact, I've bought two - one for my bookshelf at home, where it sits with other essential guides to Colorado's great outdoors, and one for the car, so I can always find a relaxing soak when the mood hits out on the road.

Planning a ski trip or a backpacking mountain trek in Colorado?

Planning a ski trip or a backpacking mountain trek in Colorado? Include a soak in a nearby hot springs in your itinerary - the perfect end to a vigorous day in the mountains. Frazier's book describes what to expect at each location. She also gives the history of each spring's evolution, often beginning with its designation by the Ute Indians as a place of healing and continuing with varied commercial development of the site over the years. Good reading, as well as a good planning resource.

Crack open ¿Colorado¿s Hot Springs¿ and within 10 minutes, maybe

Crack open “Colorado’s Hot Springs” and within 10 minutes, maybe five, you’ll be itching to throw a suitcase in the car and beat a path to these beneficent natural wonders. Like the best travel writers, “Colorado Hot Springs” author Deb Frazier transports readers to magical places – in this case, 44 warm, steamy, often sandy-bottomed pools and oases amid some of Colorado’s most dramatic geography—and leaves them yearning to go themselves. Frazier’s guide is well-organized and reader friendly: each of the 44 hot springs gets its own chapter, color photos, directions and map, along with hours of operation, accommodations, ease of access and details such as clothing-optional rules. This book guide will inspire anyone seeking a vacation off the beaten track.

This is the best guidebook for Colorado's hot springs. It covers

This is the best guidebook for Colorado's hot springs. It covers all kinds of springs, from big pools in a box canyon like Ouray to hidden spots down a long trail in the national forest, like Rainbow Hot Springs near Pagosa Springs. You'll find out which ones are peaceful and which ones are jammed with people having a party. Since it's new, it has the latest information. It's a great Christmas present for anyone who spends time in Colorado.
