Part of the "easy-open" series, the flexible binding allows the board pages to open easily and to almost lay flat. The pages are a little different in size when the book is opened so it is easier to pick out one and open it. This particular concept book teaches kids about colors, and it uses the natural world to do it. A white polar bear is resting in the snow, a green frog is resting on a branch, a pink flamingo fills an entire spread, while a brown snake and purple flowers share a spread. Young children and caregivers should enjoy looking at the pictures and naming the colors and associated plants and animals. The flowers may give a little trouble if you are not up on your varieties.
