Comanche Heart (Comanche Series #2) [NOOK Book]

One of her best

In my opinion. I read it when it was previously released and it became a favorite. BUT...you HAVE to read Comanche Moon FIRST to understand what happened and then read this one. Swift Antelope is one of those perfect heroes.

All in All, I enjoyed It

I thought the Second book in the Comanche Series was good. At the end of Comanche Moon, when we see Amy and Swift aren't together, we wonder what will happen later. I like how Catherine Anderson made the plot thick between the two characters, but i didnt like how the story line didnt flow. In Comanche moon, we see that Amy is at first distant from swift after her ordeal with the comancheros, but she and he grow to love eachother and she promises herself to him when she is of age. She even tells him to wait for her. In Comanche Heart, Amy shields her own heart from swift and wont let him near her, even after everything that they had before. (It just didnt flow) Anderson writes this hesitation off as Amy being scared of him because of all the bad things shes heard about him. But i think that Amy should of known and understood that Swift's people were dieing out and that he had to save them. (she doesnt realize that until much much later).
All in all, I enjoyed it. Although the plot wasnt what i had wanted, Anderson did a good job of making it come together. I guess if Amy opened her arms and welcomed Swift right off the bat, then there wouldnt be a book haha

Great book

I really enjoyed this book! However, you have to read the first one in this trilogy ("Comanche Moon"-this is the second book) to really be able to grasp the horrific ordeal that the female protagonist in this book went thru. Really a great read as is the first book!

Great Reading for a Long Flight!

I discovered Catherine Anderson by accident on a recent trip across the country, and I spent several very pleasant hours with Swift Antelope and Hunter while traveling to and from Oregon. I read Swift's story first, and in spite of this was very quickly immersed in the plot and the characters. My only recommendation is that these books be read during times such as longer flights - they lend themselves very well to escapism, as well as the slightly unreal quality of long-distance travel. A man showing up and forcing his company on a former girlfriend (in addition to watching her undress at night, forcing her to kiss him, and refusing to leave her alone when she asks him to) seems much less like 'stalking' and much more like 'romance' when you're trying to tune out the snoring man sitting too close next to you in steerage! :)

Highly Recommend

After reading the 1st book of the Commanche Series, I knew I had to move on to Comanche Heart, the 2nd book in the series. The 'feelings' that I felt for both sides in the grounds expansion of the U.S. was unbelievable. I thought it was simply amazing how Catherine Anderson left you engrossed in distinguishing the heart of the Commanche peoples along with the white settlers moving west. I knew I had to read Book 2, which was just as thrilling as Book 1. Seeing the years go forward and what had happened to the families of both sides of this 'war', I felt I was part of them.
Knew I would have to get Book 3.

This is Really Good

Another good novel. It kind of sad if you read Comanche Moon. There is the sense of great loss here, but in the end love pervails. If you enjoy native american stories check this one out!

This sequel simply reinforced my love of this series.

Best in series that's been reprinted ( 4th one isn't out yet )

Again, best one out of all the ones reprinted in this series. The romance is more believable than the 1st and 3rd book ones. Swift is actually a nice, sweet guy that's not controlling unlike the main men in the 1st and 3rd book. If anyone wants to read this series, besides the 4th one that isn't in stores yet, i'd suggest only reading this book in the series.

Love Comanche heart!!!!!!!

This book was awsome i loved it just as much as the first, when i was done with comanche moon i couldnt wait to read comanche heart i had to wait a while for it cause it wasn't out yet. I think i read the book more then once its that good. Im a huge reader so i recommend this book to everyone who likes a romanic books and a little of thril the bad in it, it seemed so real to me i couldnt put it down it took me just 2 days to read the whole thing it was that good.!!!!!!

Love Conquers All

COMANCHE HEART by Catherine Anderson is a poignant historical romance novel. It deals with the love between Swift, a comanche; and Amy, a white woman.The setting of this novel is in the late 1800's. I rejoiced for their love, and wept for their hurts; I heard their song. Swift and Amy were the trail blazers who defied society. I really enjoyed this story. It warmed my heart. Yes, it can be done. Bravo, Catherine Anderson.

Who doesn't want a comanche man?

I loved this book! i discovered the first of the series in a second hand store and fell in love with it. I think that Catherine Anderson did a really great job of telling the tales of all of her characters in the comanche series. It is a great book to read when you dont have anything to do. I read this book in two hrs. so it is a really fast book! I just cant wait until the next book comes out!

good read

I love the comanche series. I hope ther are more. I think Catherine and Cassie Edwards are the best in writing Indian romances. I love the story line in this book. I will be reading more of her books.

Oh my God loved it

Wonderful book......... but first i sugest u read COMANCHE MOON then read this book makes it ever better knowing that Amy and Swift was acually in love from the begining and how the Promise to be his wife and waited for him.......... amazing book i tell you. You wont regret reading either one of them .......... i love this book it touched my heart

A magnificent following to Comanche Moon

Amy and Swift's love was young and innocent in Comanche Moon, and Comanche Heart brings that love to age. Now adults, both Swift and Amy must come to grips with their fears and their love, but as the two slowly reconnect, both of their pasts seem to want to keep them apart. A must read!

Amy and Swift's story in "Comanche Heart" follows Loretta and Hunter's in the first book of the series, "Comanche Moon." Both are captivating and compelling romances, well written with fully fleshed characters. Both are keepers

Believe this fan of historical romances, these two books in their American West settings are every bit as good as the very best of those set in England. I do not say this lightly. For good writing, well developed characters and touching romance, these compare to Lisa Valdez's Victorian romance, "Passion"--another "must read."
