Am I the only one who thinks these guys are overhyped

I bought a couple CD's from the kings including this one after reading about their praises in rolling stone. I'm starting to think some record company is trying to convince us this band is so great when they really aren't. I have listened over and over and I just don't get it. Mediocre songwriting, all hype, no substance.

    Get it

I picked this CD up the day it was released as was initially, underwhelmed. I thought it was a good, not a great cd. I listened to it a couple of times - at home and in the car - and put it aside. Then a couple of days ago I decided to relisten to it. Wow - was I blown away. There are so many subtleties to it. Lots of musical "nooks & crannies" that are a joy to discover.

By far, for me, the stand out track is Mary. It gets into your head and doesn't want to leave. I find myself at work humming the tune.

Get this CD - like fine wine it gets better with repeated listenings.
