Overview

The image of "home" is a powerful spiritual theme with deep implications in the gospels, particularly in difficult times and in an increasingly online society. In Come Home, trusted spiritual director Marie Schwan blends insights from centering prayer with Ignatian and twelve-step spirituality, gently guiding readers to discover and embrace the wonder of God's presence within them.

Schwan's lifelong ministry has been devoted to spiritual guidance: She has served at retreat centers, as formation director for her religious community, and as an author whose expertise in centering prayer, Ignatian spirituality, and twelve-step programs has touched countless people.

Endorsements:

"Marie Schwan, C.S.J., brings to this slim yet potent text years of experience in spiritual direction and retreat work. Enriching and challenging, Come Home is a call to live at the center, rather than the circumference of our lives."
Bishop Robert F. Morneau
Auxiliary Bishop of Green Bay

"A gifted spiritual director and teacher by example, Sr. Marie Schwan writes an eminently practical and readily accessible book on living from one's center. In true Ignatian style, she reminds us that the door is everywhere, the way is Jesus, and the maps-though rooted in Christian tradition-are also shaped by one's own particular personality, history, and gifts."
Cynthia Sabathier, C.S.J.,
Director St. Joseph Spirituality Center

"Marie Schwan's vivid and often poignant reflections synthesize the best of today's spirituality and give practical advice for handling life's woundedness and coming home to our center within. Perfect reading for Christians seeking to abide morefully in God."
Richard Hauser, S.J.
Director of the Masters Program in Christian Spirituality
Creighton University
