Overview

Home is where the heart ought to be. But nowadays too many of us are missing the human connection and emotional replenishment that only a rewarding home life can bestow. Designer Rosanna Bowles wants to change that. In Coming Home, she shares a year-round plan for establishing traditions—and, in the process, making memories—that will restore home to its central place in your family’s life.

Taking her cues from the seasons’ changing moods—spring’s awakening, summer’s vibrancy, fall’s bittersweet transition, and winter’s introspection—Bowles creates a calendar of activities, rituals, and celebrations that will bring you back home in the deepest and most fulfilling sense. And because the table is where family and beloved friends most often come together, she provides more than fifty favorite recipes—for simple family meals and sumptuous holiday feasts—that deliciously express each season’s character.

    An Inspirational Read!

This is the kind of book that I have been waiting for. It is an amazing book to add to your own collection, but also a great gift for your favorite people. I've been following Rosanna for years. Her dish collections are among my favorite entertaining pieces. Her creativity is truly inspirational. Rosanna effectively communicates the importance of family and traditions passed from generation to generation. The photos are beautiful and in today's world, Rosanna reinforces the power of family connections.

    I heart Rosanna!

I am so excited for this book's arrival, as I have been a huge fan of Rosanna's amazing designer dishes for years. If you haven't been to her website www.RosannaInc.com you should go check it out.

I love her philosophy that people should be getting together and sharing the simple joy of a meal shared. He style and taste has always been exquisite. I pre-ordered this book, and I can't wait to read it.

    review by www.beachbrightsreviews.blogspot.com

This is the debut book for Rosanna Bowles who is also known for starting a successful dish ware company. This book is sizable with wonderful color photographs and over 180 pages. The book is divided into 6 sections: Introduction, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Acknowledgments/Index.

I found the stories of Bowls and her family to be charming and the recipes basic, fresh and worth trying. This is a great book for the reluctant entertainer like myself. This book shows you the creating traditions is about much more than perfection but about quality time with your friends & family. Creating bonds and connections is at the heart of this book with simple traditional pleasures.

This would make a beautiful Mother's Day Gift, Bridal Gift, Shower Gift or Gift for yourself!
