With the best of intentions, the educational system has plied the recent graduate with lofty social theory and idealism. This instruction has been valuable and necessary but incomplete, doctrinaire, and poor preparation for the daily grind. Boortz presents a strident, but humorous and encouraging shot of realism about how society actually works and what it will take for the graduate (or anyone) to be responsible and self-sufficient. An essential counterbalance to the traditional social message presented by our institutions of higher learning and one they intensely try to avoid. Was this review helpful?
