This book is not ready for the Nook format yet. There are over 2000 pages, and there is no way to navigate it. You have to move page by page to find the passage you want. I'm very disappointed.

I bought this Bible to read rather than study. It is not a paraphrase, but a Bible translated by about 100 scholars from many religious backgrounds and fields of expertise. It is fairly easy to read, but uses some "terms" I wish it did not. For example, where older versions of the Bible refer to Jesus as "the Son of Man," the CEB calls him "the Human One."
Still, I recommend to those who want a translation that is helpful and easy to read.

When I look for a Bible for personal study, I want a Bible that is readable, while also a translation that is scholarly and accurate. The CEB gives me both. I must admit to struggling with the use of contractions ... don't, didn't, etc. I also have a hard copy of the CEB. Having it on my Nook, which goes where I go, makes study time easier. I don't have to tote a bag of study materials, it is just all right there.

Easier to read. Glad we can get it with the Apocrytha.

Our church is using this translation for Worship and Bible Study. I find it readable and less confusing. We are now in a program to read the New Testament other than the Gospels in 60 days. I'm half way through and enjoying it.

Excellent for worship, small groups and Sunday school, and private devotions. Lovely edition. .
