The Compendium incorporates projects based on six previous books from Search Press by Balchin and others. It includes techniques for creating elements of Celtic design as well as projects on paper, jewelry, and glass. Designs from the Book of Kells has a few projects, but it is similar to coloring books, made up mostly of line drawings of design elements from Kells illuminations that can be copied.
