Overview

This book/DVD set is a thoroughly illustrated "how-to" guide to facial fat transfer, a new facial rejuvenation procedure that allows the surgeon to sculpt the face and restore it to its natural beauty. Fat is harvested from fattier areas of the body through a suction technique and injected into the face with a small cannula. The fat transferred becomes incorporated as living tissue and the results are extremely long lasting. The book guides readers through this procedure with easy-to-follow instructions and more than 200 full-color step-by-step illustrations.

Two DVDs accompanying the book contain videos demonstrating the procedure and pitfalls.

    Bloated

Dr. Lam's solution to youth is to make you bloated as possible so it stretches the wrinkles out. Look what he did to his mom, Carol Lam who now looks 300lbs like a Japanese version of Roseanne Arnold. Great work Samuel!

Lam Botches Surgeries with his Techniques....read cautiously

As the previous reviewer said read with caution! Dr. Samuel Lam is a liar and he pays companies such as Medical Justice to have every single negative reviews removed from the internet and hidden from the public which is a disgrace to the medical field. He has botched so many surgeries such as hair restoration, fat grafts, rhinoplasties which left a patient with permanent breathing problems, fillers, but oh no he will never tell you about those! His internet Youtube and videos posted on lamfacialplastics.com are great and convincing which is why I ended up in his office in the first place. That turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life and he is only an unethical doctor who does not take responsibility for what he does unless it turns out well. Avoid this man's office at all costs, he sounds knowledgeable on the internet but when things go wrong you'll know what a fool he really is and he blames you for having unrealistic expectations when he is the one who promised you would turn out "beautiful" which is a lie!!! Ask him about his unsuccessful surgeries before you have anything done! Dr. Samuel Lam has terrible surgical skills but he has that television personality (without the good looks to be on TV) that can really be misleading by his very very convincing videos which I fell for.

As a former patient of Dr. Sam Lam and reader of his books, videos, websites....

As a former patient of Dr. Samuel Lam who practices at Lam Facial Plastics Surgery Center in Plano, TX, I strongly urge all medical doctors to read the books of Dr. Samuel Lam with extreme caution. Before a became a patient of Dr. Samuel Lam, I spent time watching all his online videos, communicating with him on his blogs/internet forums, and even reading all his articles and books (even those which didn't pertain to my specific procedure). At the time, it seemed that much of what he said made sense and he gave off the impression he was a true artist as he had advertised....unfortunately I later learned much of this was false. Having surgery with Dr. Samuel Lam turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life and he is no artist. He has turned me into anything but beautiful but into a complete freak. Mind you, I did my homework like a responsible patient preparing for surgery and at first I thought it was unusual that his artist tastes differed greatly from other surgeons. I just thought he was an artist and not all surgeons had this ability! I W-A-S W-R-O-N-G! Dr. Samuel Lam is inexperienced, he left me with permanent damage and a grotesque looking face and I can not believe what he has done to me. He writes about "blending", "facial harmony," "balance," "transitions,"----HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THIS. He likes to write, but he doesn't really know how to put theory into practice. In order for a surgeon to perfect his skills he must practice, but this man is extremely inexperienced and left me with a permanently mutilated face. I have to see other plastic surgeons to fix what this man has done and as the reader, there is a good possibility you know more about the material than this man who spends more time posting up videos all over the web and writing on his numerous blogs and forums instead of spending time in the surgery room practicing his techniques. If you are a doctor, please don't be like Dr. Samuel Lam. This man forever changed my life and he needs to be ashamed of himself for what he has done to me.
