The guide is alphabetical, not organized by state or any other method--although in the index colleges are listed by state, cost and size. The "facilities" section does not give any insight into type of student living, other than designation as either a "city," "town," "village," etc. We found some of these descriptions to be inaccurate. There is also too much focus on computer access and not enough detail on student life. For example, the guide just lists all possible sports and organizations. And finally, on the admission requirements, the guide lists the same metrics as at least "somewhat important" for almost every school, with no distinguishing among what various schools look for in new students. We found it not helpful in allowing us to narrow down the field of excellent colleges.
