Glamourtime hair is fun — there's nothing like transforming the way you look and feel with a blast of hairspray,
a few pins and a bit of styling know-how, and Big Date Hair is the ultimate feel-good experience. It covers your every hair need — whatever the invitation — whether you want to twist up your tresses in a ladylike updo to meet his parents for dinner or gutsy up your mane for a rock chick look that's got to last for as long as you do.

Whatever your choice of wedding, think of your hair as your greatest accessory. Big Day Hair offers advice on identifying the look that best suits your face, dress and accessories, tips for getting your hair in peak condition before the big day, great hairstyles for every type of wedding — from bohemian vintage, classic and country to fashionista, beach and rock chic and ideas for easy transformations for the reception and honeymoon.

I appreciated a lot of the advice on hair care, and I liked the way he used five fictional women as examples, which is much more effective than just instructions. However, a lot of the styles suggested are way too over-the-top for civilians like me. Plus, while there was some advice about haircuts, it was incomplete in that it did not deal with various hair types. Finally, the book didn't even mention special medical issues that affect the hair, such as alopecia, medications, and pregnancy/post-partum.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. i thought this book would contain several differnt cute hair styles and how to acheive them, but there were't any step-by-step pictures and most of them were outrageous styles that only runway models would wear. way too much money for a worthless book. Was this review helpful? hi i loved this book as not only does it make clear the best styles cuts and tips for every hair type but it does so through the story of four girls ( my favourite being Polly, whos hair is like mine) just makes you want to read it all, even when its talking about a different hair type from your own!Was this review helpful?
