    Title is Misleading

The title should be A History of Spells,Curses, etc. The book gives a history of magic and how it varies in different cultures. The author includes some personal (and humorous) comments on certain topics. A couple of spells and the like are included, but some are just mentioned and not fully explained. The book is kind of interesting to see how different cultures have their own systems and beliefs. History book it is. Practical spellbook it is not.
