If you are new in public speaking or have been doing it for a while, the Complete Guide to Public Speaking will be a valuable tool. This book delivers on its promise in every way. In a frank, but often humorous way, the author 'tells it like it is,' providing insightful and instructive information on how to be a better public speaker. The part on what to do if you blank out in the middle of a speech and how to avoid excessive perspiration is a hoot, and rings all too true for those of us who have been there and unfortunately done that. If you are not a humor speaker you will find the part on using humor to be very interesting because, as the author contends, all speeches could benefit from humor and all speakers have the ability to be humorous. In any case, I highly recommend this book.

This book would make a nice addition to the personal library of anyone who is a public speaker or who is thinking of being a public speaker. It's packed with the kind of information you might pay a considerable amount for if you hired a speech coach or took a course on public speaking.
