The cover of this book was great, but I have become increasingly skeptical of anyone using the words “complete guide”. Complete does not seem to mean what it used to. However, after reading The Complete Guide to Your Personal Finances Online, I have to say that this book really does cover it all. I honestly cannot think of a single topic that was not covered.
The book is well edited and organized. I especially liked that the author included direct links to websites mentioned in the eBook edition.
I am by no means a newbie to online banking. I was a bit skeptical that the book would not be particularly helpful, but I was happily surprised. From the in-depth reviews of software and helpful websites to tips for online shopping, there is something for everyone in this book. The author, Tamsen Butler, has a clear and concise writing style. She explains things succinctly and offers great insight.
The last chapter of the book provides a wealth of resources for continuing your financial education with online resources. The Appendix at the very end is a great “one stop” list of websites. Great book and I highly recommend.

The Complete Guide to Your Personal Finances Online is a very informative book about managing all aspects of your finances online. With thirteen chapters covering everything, from the basics of checking your bank accounts via your home computer to online shopping, the book does a thorough job of informing those with no idea how to get started the ways they can start managing their money from home. The author provides many websites that also give loads of information, both free and ones you pay for, including budget ones which I found particularly interesting. The information is United States-based so it may be somewhat different for other countries but it is still helpful anyway. I found the information easy to understand and therefore feel this would be a perfect book for seniors to use to get started. This is a must-have book for anyone wanting to start managing their finances online.
