This is a great learning book for sign language and the DVD makes all you read and do more clear to understand! Plus it gives you an understanding of the deaf community so you won't offend them when you sign to them!

I love the book. It is very concise. I watched the DVD, but was not very impressed with that. The book gave me more for my money. I have taken beginning sign language last fall and was very motivated to continue so I purchased a whole lot of books. I went to an ASL meetup to be with others learning and felt so out of place because I had been out of practice, but with the book I was able to converse a bit better the next time I met with the group. I start my next ASL class this coming weekend and am so looking forward to continuing my education. Thanks for the two ladies (Mom and Daughter) who put this book together. It is amazing.
