This is a very good book to enlighten people about what food does to your body, however I have a couple of gripes with this book. First off what she explains and what most people explain about how food works in your body and what the hormones do is just theory. It is theory based off of facts but it is theory and it peeves me that no one in these books mentions this fact. Second she tells you that FLUORIDE is an essential nutrient! I don't know why so many people think fluoride is an essential nutrient. It's quite literally an industrial poison. People that don't believe me, please look it up! It is categorized as such with the government. Just to clarify I am talking about fluoride in water, drinks and food not toothpaste. They are two very different things. I don't understand at all why shes saying this in a book about balancing hormones. Fluoride confuses your thyroid not to take in iodine. If thats not unbalancing your hormones than I don't know what to tell you. But besides these two things I have enjoyed this book and recommended it to people I know. She is on par with a lot of things I had been researching I just wish she put in the scientific explanations in. I felt like it was lacking a lot of substance in that aspect. I wanted to know why it is the way it is and she never tells you. It just is. I guess when I bought idiots guide I didn't think she meant it.
