    more from this reviewer

    Book Bazaar

Harold D. Underdown did a good job of explaining the world of book publishing. The sections under "vocabulary list" were very helpful and informative; sometimes the explanations were a little confusing, but if you keep reading clarity will come. If you are interested in getting into the publishing business this book, I believe, will be worth reading. Appendix C with samples of query letters and cover letters is valuable for beginners. Also the book, I think, will offer a realistic view of getting started in publishing children's books plus it informs you of the types of manuscripts the major publishing houses would be interested in receiving. An explanation of the various types of children's books is provided
