Meet the Author

Expert author Johanina Wikoff, Ph.D. is a credentialled psychologist who has spent a decade working in the area of sacred sexuality-- combining psychology, sexology, and relationship work. In addition to her training as a psychologist, she has studied with the Tibetan Rimpoche Trumpa and the mystic and Tantric master Osho. She is a lecturer and international workshop presenter who has appeared on radio and television. Her column on esoteric sexuality appears on the popular Web site tantra. She is a member of the Association of Body Psychotherapists. Writer Debbi Romaine has co-authored two CIG titles: CIG to a Happy, Healthy Heart and CIG to Healing Back Pain. She understands the CIG series and knows how to work fast and on format.

Illustrator Wendy Frost did the wonderful illustrations for CIG to Yoga and CIG to Power Yoga. She will be able to do some fantastic drawings for CIG to the Kama Sutra-- both in a contemporary style and in a style evocative of the traditional Indian paintings.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

My sister gave it to me as a shower gift. And we actually took this book on ur honeymoon with us and read it while lolling about the pool. There is so much more to this book than positions. It has so much information about communication and the problems that couples encounter. I loved the information on sex and learned alot about communication. I gave this book as a gift to friends who were getting married.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

We received this book as a wedding shower gift. I had not heard of the Kama Sutra before and because my husband took it along on our honeymoon - we read it and tried out some of the positions. We also found the exercises and information on communication really helpful.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

While these Idiot's guides give a lot of information and have intelligent authors; the format is annoying and gets in the way of a book that is about the sacredness of sex and marriage relationships. The authors know their stuff and it makes up for the cheesy format.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

The Guides are usually well done. This one is very well done, well written and easy to read. You can open it up to a chapter without having to read straight through (all the Idiot's Guides are layed out this way) and so can read about history, positions or the additional chapters that I found really valuable about relationship

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

and then this and found that I could put the Kama Sutra into use in my life with the help of this book. Great insights, wisdom and practical exercises that make the sometimes strange positions of the Kama Sutra doable.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

My lover and I decided we wanted to learn about sacred sexuality and bought several books. This is our favorite. It has so much valuable information about the history and culture of India. And it brings the teachings of the east home to the west by including valuable health and reltionship chapters. There are excellent exercises and the positions are attainable and wonderfully erotic.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Kama Sutra

I'd heard of the Kama Sutra. Some exotic teachings on sex. Way beyond my cowboy v iew of sex. Well, now I know there is a whole lot more possible than I did before I read this book. Extraordinary lovemaking for just about anyone who wants it awaits. I also find that the Idiot's Guides are overall consistently well done. Well written, researched, presented. I also liked Anne Hooper's books on the Kama Sutra. This one is different in that it covers relationships and the issues that everyone faces in marriage.
