Complete Italian Grammar is the best grammar book, period.

I just completed eight weeks of intensive language school in Florence, Italy. By using this book prior to attending the school, I was placed in level 3 due to my entrance exam. Unfortunately, my conversational skills were not up to that level. But, the book did its job very well. Students that were much more proficient in speaking than I would continually ask me for grammar advice. I have purchased other grammar books, but none even come close to this one. I wish I had purchased the book when I started to use Rosetta Stone because there were many times when I was stumped with the grammar in Rosetta Stone, but did not know were to turn for assistance. This book, if read before using Rosetta Stone, would greatly improve the software. If you are serious about learning Italian, this book is a must buy. I wish the author of this book would write a book dedicated to pronouns and prepositions.

    User-friendly Grammar

Extremely recommendable buy for anyone who´s learning the language or wants to brush it up. The explanations are very clear and the practice material is extensive.I would add an extra chapter on prepositions, but the topic´s so complex that I suppose it´d be worth writing a whole book on it.

I´ll certainly look out for any new grammar books written by this author.
