The PDF of the book included on the CD is password protected. I tried using the word suggested in another file on the CD, but it still won't open. Other members of my Java study group also have this problem.
Misprints or misinformation in a fictional novel can be tolerated but not in a book that is supposed to prepare one for a professional certification. The authors and publisher should actually type, compile and run the code for the following review questions: Chapter 5, question 3 (choice C will not compile), Chapter 5, question 10 (choice A is not correct), and Chapter 7, question 6 (the message does indeed print out in the console). These three examples are only the ones that I took note of as I read the book. It may be that these are the only three, but it's also possible there could be more. I'm sure that an individual would still get through the exam all right using this book for preparation, but it's not a comfortable feeling wondering whether one can rely on his study materials. I used builds 1.5.0-b64 and 1.5.0_04-b05 for those interested.
