I just started sewing less than a year ago and bought this book to help me learn some of the more technical things that will help my projects look more complete/finished/professional. The book is very easy to read/understand and there are a TON of illustrations that help as well. This book is very well put together and I would recommend it to anyone who sews!

I just love this book!!! It may not be for you if you are experienced, but if you are a beginner, this book is awesome!!! I kept it by my sewing machine at all times when i started teaching myself to sew. Really huge help, very clear, great pictures and all the basic information for you to start sewing, get to know your tools and fabrics. Teaches how to sew many different zipers, put elastic on a bathing suit, attach a collar, etc, etc, etc. It even has some home and decorating tips.

I'm a beginner at sewing and this books is wonderful! I love all the pictures and the directions are very clear. I'm glad I bought this one!

I was looking for a general, easy to use sewing guide and this is the book! The content is substantial and there are lots of pictures throughout. I just bought a new machine and wanted learn about techniques that I've never done before. It's just what I was looking for.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for someone who is learning to show. I loved the photos that illustrate the step by step instructions. She seemed thrilled with it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that I didn't actually use it myself.

I checked this book out of the library first. I love it. The pics are awesome and really help to clarify techniques. Nice section on home decor that I've not seen in other books. I intend to buy this book now. It's well worth having in my library.
