I've had this book since college (and was even taught directly by one of the professor's who wrote it). I still use this book for general reference when I need to refresh on my formatting to execute more complex scenes. I would recommend this book to every screenwriter, aspiring and professional. The great thing about this manual is that it makes your story possible by helping you realize actual methods and strategies to communicate scenes for your film within the screenplay format. Unlike many Screenwriting How-To's, it is very direct and thorough for every situation. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. When you start out with an idea for a screenplay it can be incredibly frustrating to navigate the proper way to put your thoughts on paper so that they are effectively communicated to the people you hope will help you take your vision to the next step. This manual is a very straightforward and easy to use guide through the world of proper formatting for screenwriting. It takes the frustration away so that all you are left with is your creativity. It is very liberating.
