    Excellent resource for thyroid patients!

this book is a must have if you have been diagnosed with thyroid issues. I bought the book for my eighteen year old daughter who was diagnosed with Hashimotos when she was nine. I wanted a resource to let her know how important the medication is. The rest of our immediate family, all five of us, have Hasimotos as well and I've done extensive research about it, but this book still contained quite a bit of relatively new and extremely important information.

The thyroid is one of the most important glands in your body, but doctors often find out someone is hypothroid and simply put them on medication without telling them how the effectiveness could be diminished by not taking the meds on an empty stomach, or consistantly every day. Do yourself, or someone you love that has thyroid disease, a favor and pick it up today!!

    Useful, but nothing new

I found this book useful, however as a thyroid cancer survivor, it didnt tell me anything new. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was up to date on therapy. For a newly diagnosed patient this is an awesome book. For an exhausted nurse like myself, it was nothing new.
