I am using this book and almost half through. It is written in an easy to read manner. Easy to read and covers the objectives. Todd L. gives you the facts and additional information. This is written to not be a dry book. So if you are just looking for the techinical stuff then this is not for you. If you really want to learn what you are studying then this book is for you.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This book IS not really good, it is "TO CHATTY" hE THROWS STATEMENTS LIKE, "IF YOU DO THIS THAN YOUR RIGHT". The book attempts to be funny, it is not making an attemt to be serous and to educate the reader, and the format is not to clear, for example there is a chapter that talks about DoD model and ports in the general chapter it list the all the ports, but yet in the summary of the book list only few to know, which does not make sense. Also the lab section that was provide, gives no direction or instruction on how to actually use this. The lab is basically drawing, the best way i can explain the lab.... is it is an insult to call this a techinical book.

I ordered this book but was sent the A+ book instead and can't find any information on how to return it for the right one. Very disappointed that I spend so much money for the WRONG book.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.Recently, I took the CompTIA Network+ exam and passed the test because of this book. I have limited practical experience with networking, but chose to take the test for continuing education. Despite my limited experience, I was well prepared due to Todd Lammle's deluxe study guide. This was the only resource I used to prepare for the exam. Great book!
