Overview

A family secret kept hidden has been exposed, and the consequences could be deadly.

After Lilyann Moon's beloved grandmother dies shrouded by a veil of mystery, she and her young family members are yanked from their completely normal lives and catapulted directly into the supernatural world of witchcraft. A world they know absolutely nothing about.

The town of Hampstead, Maryland has no idea of the monsters that lurk in their midst. Or, of the dangers they will face if the Moon Coven doesn't figure out how to embrace the magick within each of them, especially Lily.

She's suddenly up to her pointy little black hat in magickal problems. Destiny presented her with a few more, and they're pretty major - vampires, ghosts, and brogadhs.

The only bright spot in this nightmare was meeting Mason. But, is she in love with the enemy? Lilyann is in a race against time to save her town and coven. Will she survive the coming dangers with her heart and neck intact?

It all comes down to this one night...

All Hallows Eve.

Meet the Author

Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me...
Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you ten minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first two! LOL

I'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be(I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for eight with only ten minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.

If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.

I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.

Random facts about me:

~My favorite color is pink
~I have a Bishon Frise puppy named Cullen Edward
~My favorite music is hip-hop
~I have a severe addiction to coffee. So much so, that those in my inner circle refuse to speak to me before caffeine O'clock! True Story

Enjoy the ride.
~K.B. xoxo

Lilyann Moon is a witch but she doesn't know it yet, that is until her grandmother dies and leaves the house to her along with everything in it.  while going through her grandmother's things, Lily finds out she is a witch and that there are major problems about to happen on All Hallows Eve, if her and her family don't put do put up a protective spell.
During all of this Lily meets Mason and there is something about him that lures her to him, little does she know that he's a vampire but a good one and is there to help Lily protect everyone from the "bad" vampires----his own siblings.
Now I read this one a little while after reading Haunted Moon but I will tell you that this one is just as good as the first.  Lily's grandmother is the oh so powerful Leeny Moon and she has left many notes/clues for Lily and her family to protect the town from the evil vampires.  Along the way there are many obsticles that she must face and overcome if she is to lead the coven the way that her grandmother knew she could.  I absolutely loved Lily and her strong will to do right but still try to have a little fun along the way, she will and would do absolutely anything to protect those whom she loves.  K.B tells the story in such a way that you are drawn into it and you feel like you are there yourself, following along with the Moon Coven--cheering for their accomplishments, ticked off at their failures and crying at their loses (now i'm not saying that there any failures or losses but that is something you will have to find out for yourself LOL)

I was given this book for a honest review. I really enjoyed this book. The main theme that keeps playing over and over is FAMILY!! This family sticks together thru good times and bad and once your in you are in for life. This book had everything a YA book needs. Witches, Vampires, Seers, Ghosts, Werewolf... None of these characters seem forced either they play there role very smoothly. The characters were great. I feel in love with them right away. They share life, love, laughter. The fact that all the parents knew what was going on and had backed away was awesome. The leader of the new moon coven shows great character and self sacrifice. Each character brings something to the table to make the coven of 12 complete. Lots of the family secrets some tumbling out in this book. When the coven is fighting the Vampires at the end you see their team work come into play. I cant wait to see where the characters will take us in the series.

After Lily's grandmother dies, she finds out she has inherited the family farm. Finds out she's a powerful witch and trying to come to grips with that. She finds out that vampires are after her and that her grandmother was friends with one, whom she has come to care about. Is Mason a  friend or foe in all this?

Lily's grandmother dies in suspicious circumstances, and Lily's

Lily's grandmother dies in suspicious circumstances, and Lily's world is turned upside down when she finds out that she is from a long line of witches.
Along with her eleven young family members, Lily will have to learn how to wield this new found power, and learn fast.
Lily is the most powerful witch in over five centuries, but she is untrained and uninitiated.
The vampires have found out about Lily and her family, and they are coming to claim the Moon's blood.
Lily's only saving grace is when she meets Mason, but has she fallen in love with the enemy? Can Lily save her coven?
And can she survive with her heart and neck intact?

As I began to read this story, I was surprised to find out that Lily was 21. I had her "voice" in my head as a teenager.
She came across as a bit flighty (in my opinion), and used too many exclamation marks in her thoughts and words.
However, Lily undergoes a life changing event with the death of her Grandmother.
As I read further into the story, she begins to mature and become more adult.
By the end of the book, she had truly become a force to be reckoned with! Mason is a great character.
I think I've fallen for his green eyes! The rest of the cast of characters are well written too - the vampires scare me!
There is a lot of action that will keep you glued to the pages.
The ending sent chills up my back, and now I'm wondering when the sequel will be released, as I would like to know what's going to happen next!
This book seems to be aimed at the teen reader, but I recommend this book if you like reading about witches and vampires. - Lynn Worton

This was a gift from K.B. off of Smashwords.

I am so happy that I got to read this amazing book!! I have just started reading witch books since I read vampire books always...But this book has opend my eyes to wonderful world of K.B.'s Twitchy Witchy witch's :). I loved this story, every part of it! Lily has a great lead character, she is strong, brave and loves fashion. At first I just thought "Ugh not another girly girl" LOL but in away I liked her for it. I fell in love with the whole Moon family, pluse all the non related members aswell. Mason? We could talk about Mason all day!! At the beginning of the story, when Lily first spotted Mason at the Coffe Shop, he was very creepy :)but with the first words out of his mouth I think I was in love!!!! Not to mintion he likes John Wayne...That stole my heart, I love anybody who loves John Wayne. I am glad that I read Haunted Moon first and got a better look at Granny. I recomend this seired to everyone, so please show K.B. some love and suport and read/review. She has done an amazing job!!

    K. B. Miller has done it again! Wow!!!!!! I fell in love with her writing while reading Haunted Moon (A Moon Coven novella), & I've been anticipating the re-release of this novel every since! Miller's a mastermind at drawing us in & refusing to let us go! I loved every bit of it...the characters, the jokes, the relationships, the action packed stake throw downs, & especially the flame throwing! :) Honestly, once I opened it up I could not put it down! And...I think I may have a slight crush on Mason! ;*}
    Compulsion is 5 Star!!!!! *****
Now I need MORE!!! :) Eagerly awaiting your next release, KB!! <3

    Magical YA Read
I purchased a copy of the book when it was first release. I later found out that the author was working on a revised version of the book, so I decided to wait and read it when it was re-released. I was given a copy of the re-released version in exchange for my honest review.

This copy has been re-edited and has had some extras throw in. I did notice a few editing errors, but in no way did it take away from the story. Lilyann is living the average life of juggling school, work, shopping, and getting over a bad boyfriend choice, while staying pumped by her favorite coffees. That is until the day that she gets a call that her grandmother has passed away. She returns home not knowing that this event will change her life in more ways than she ever expected. Not only had her grandmother passed away, but it turns out that it was no accident and that her and most of her family have been kept in the dark from the truth of who her grandmother really was....a witch. Now Lilly and her family have to step up and take their place in the world of magick and the supernatural with nothing to guide them, but last letters from her grandmother and a few books. Will the information they have, and the strength of the family combined be enough to prepare the Moon Coven for the battle of their lives?

A great YA read filled with magick, suspense, love, family, vampires, ghosts, and few extras. I can't wait to read about the Moon Covens next magical journey.

I really wanted to like this book. But found it just wasnt for me. The storyline seamed good but with all the vampire/witch novels out there i felt like it lacked originality. The cover needs a bit of work. i really tried to like it but found myself unhappy in the end.
