Purpose: It is intended as a reliable source of relevant information for practicing CT technologists and has three main purposes: to enable readers to evaluate their current level of CT understanding and assess possible weak areas for further study; to provide brief explanations to bring to the surface knowledge that the technologists may have known cognitively; and to present practice exams to help readers with the process of taking multiple-choice examinations. This is a nice, one-stop resource for practicing CT technologists.
Audience: The book is written for practicing CT technologists, students preparing for the ARRT advanced level certification exam, radiation therapists, and nuclear medicine technologists.
Features: It covers the clinical and didactic competency requirements for practicing CT technologists and students who are preparing for the ARRT CT certification exam and it does so in an easy to follow format. The material is explained well without going into too much depth. However, some images are mislabeled.
Assessment: This is a nice tool for helping prepare students to take the ARRT CT exam. The information is concise and presented in an easy to understand manner for a variety of learners.
