Children's Literature - Children's Literature
This computer book will be a delight for homeschoolers, just beginning to incorporate writing into their program. It is based on Microsoft Works but the basic information can be transferred to any program. Computer basics are presented, so that everyone knows what a keyboard, or a mouse, is. Chapter One teaches kids basic words skills--rhyming words, similes, and adjectives are emphasized. Chapter Two builds toward sentence construction and teaches kids how to make a flipbook. Chapter Three brings all of these elements together to create a story. The Paint program is used to illustrate the story. This is a great interactive tool for the independent learner. Drawings and diagrams are bright and colorful. One of eight titles in the "Click It!" series. 2000, Millbrook Press, Ages 8 to 12, $21.90 and $5.95. Reviewer: Joyce Rice—Children's Literature
