This book is now available in English, called 'Soraya, A Life of Music, A Legacy of Hope.' The English version includes a brand new compilation of stories written by friends, family and fellow musicians, accompanied by many previously unpublished photos. Her friends tell us what humble Soraya did not in say her own beautiful writing: that in her final years she had become a world-class humanitarian, and an incredibly prolific and profound musician. Enjoy.

Soraya's book was a beautiful glimpse into her world and at the same time it was so heartbreaking to see what she had to endure. You finish reading the book and are affirmed by why you simply loved her music and her as a human being. You walk away learning the story behind songs and formative moments in her life. She gives it to you in black and white what you harbor about what cancer does to the people you love. Her words serve as a bandaid for those painful moments this monster(cancer) dishes upon us who are succumed to it. You realize ok Soraya was 'Soraya' the artist, who brought us this amazing music and peace but she was also this extraordinary woman, daughter, niece, grand-daughter,sister and friend who went through so many tragedies. She went through them with poise and heorism. You'll enjoy the book if you are fan or simply if you or anyone you know has or had cancer. I enjoyed the pictures she was kind enough to share with us.There is so much meaning in each of her sentences, you can re-read them endless times and see her essence in each line. Even in her last piece of tangiable work as an artist she gives you the very best of her. But then again you couldnt expect anything less from her.You finish the book wanting more, yet you conclude it finding answers, peace and having more questions. You ask why someone so exquiste is no longer here to continue making this world formidalbe? I stayed up the entire night reading it and I guarentee you will need a box of tissues near you. The section of the book Itzel Diaz wrote about Soraya was profound and the pain she felt came through the pages when she wrote about her witnessing Soraya's last moments on this earth. Thankful Soraya left us this book to enjoy after her departure. Its so hard to swallow that she is physically no longer here.
