    Practical Textbook on Retailing

A realistic and practical textbook. It covers many things that aren't discussed in typical textbooks but should be, like the challenges and hassles of vendor relationships, negotiations, sales incentives, formal and informal training, and displays.
Most of the cases in this book could have come directly from our sales floor -- they are what's really going on in retailing today.
I've added it to our store library and will encourage new hires to study it thoroughly -- it's a shortcut to years of retail experience.
