Zology book is just what students need

This book is excellent for freshmen and sophomore students interested in a general overview of animal science. The author is witty and creative making reading fun and easy. He spends a lot of time on the "overall big picture" and doesn't get too caught up in details. Although the level of detail covered is adequate for students at the freshmen and sophomore levels. It covers all areas of animal science from cell biology & physiology to ecology & evolution and is a great introductory text for students entering into biological sciences.
