I am a high school sophomore who had to do a research project. This book was very interesting. It made me want to keep reading and I am the type of student who does not like to read. It gave me a lot of good facts about World World ll, the Holocaust, and Hitler's background. It helped me a lot with my research project. It answered most of the questions that I needed to be answered. This book is very resourceful when doing a research project about the Hitler, the Holocaust, and World War ll. The author did a great job because Hitler is such a hard subject to talk about because of all the terrible things he did. Thus, the author knew that when things were getting too serious and sad to brighten things up and talk about a different topic. This book is very graphic book so I do suggest that high school students and up should read this book because at time it becomes inappropriate and as a sophomore student I even felt uncomfortable reading about Hitler's love life. Overall, I do recommend this book because it goes into a lot of detail but always keeps you wanting more.

I am a high school sophomore and I choose this book for my research project. I really enjoyed reading this book. I do not like to read but when I started to read this book I wanted to keep reading. It helped me to answer most of my research questions. The book gave very strong details about Hitler's life and World War II. The details helped me to understand the book a lot better and have a better understanding of Hitler's life. One part of the book that really stood out to me was when it discussed Hitler's life and his family. I thought that some parts of the book did lack some detail such as when it mentioned about the Nazi Party. I think it could have had more information about the Nazi's like what they did. I would recommend this book to someone who wants to learn more about Hitler or even if someone is doing a project on Adolf Hitler. I would not recommend the book to someone who is in Junior High I think they should be at least in high school so they have a better understanding of the book.

I am a high school sophomore and I read this book for my research project. I really enjoyed this book because it touched every important aspect of Hitler's life while providing the perfect amount of detail. I believe the author did an exceptional job presenting the information throughout this biography. I found the way the book was strategically organized to be brilliant because it was broken up into concise topics and subtopics that revealed the information in an intriguing manner. I also felt that the authors tone appropriately conveyed the content perfectly while keeping the reader engaged. I would definitely recommend this biography to anyone interested in learning about Adolf Hitler. I feel as if it is a fantastic reference that is guaranteed to keep the reader interested and focused on the subject matter.

Hi, I am a high school sophomore who recently did a research project on Adolf Hitler and I chose to read this book. I chose to read this book because my teacher recommended it to me. I did not find this book very useful while doing my project because the answers I was looking for were not in the book. Although I didn't find much of the answers, I found this book quite interesting because I didn't know much about him other than the basic stuff. I also thought some chapters in the book being unnecessary because I think that some of them lack actual and useful information. It's quite hard for me to find something that I liked about this book because this book did not whatsoever help me with my project at all. I mostly got my questions answered from the internet and from my school textbook. I would recommend this book to people who want to know personal/random stuff about Hitler. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who have to do a school research project on questions that ask for specifically detailed information on what he's known for. Overall, I regret choosing this book and if I could unread it I would.

I am a high school sophomore who had to do a research project on Adolf Hitler. I thought the book was interesting, but I did not like the layout of it. The book didn’t follow Hitler’s life chronologically, which did not help me while doing my research project. This book skipped to random topics about Hitler’s life, making it hard to focus on one specific topic. I did not like that the book discussed random topics such as Hitler’s love for dogs and his moustache. The good thing about this book is that it goes into great detail on the topics that were really important about Hitler, such as the Holocaust and how he came up with the swastika. Another thing I liked about this book was the timeline. The timeline gave brief but detailed facts about Hitler and about what happened in his lifetime. The timeline was at the back of the book and it had a lot of important dates. One interesting thing I like about this book is how the book addressed certain myths about Hitler. This book proved which myths were real and which myths were just myths. Thomas Fuchs, the author, also put an index in the back of the book, which was really helpful. The index made this research project a lot easier because it had a variety of topics with their page number.

I am a high school sophomore who had to do a research project on Adolf Hitler. I really enjoyed this book because Thomas Fuchs does a really good job to try and make this book very entertaining and not some old boring biography just stating simple facts that we already knew. Thomas Fuchs gives you a complete book on Hitler's life as we have read in history books or heard about, but he also explains and captures moments and materials we never even knew about Hitler. There is something that did frustrate me and it was some chapters in the book didn't make sense because the book would jump around alot and sometimes it would start talking about something  and  change subjects quickly and some chapters I believe weren't so important to know about Hitler, but overall most the chapters and information were very useful and helped me alot on my research project. The book is very  specific and sometimes hard to comprehend but even though I don't read much, this book really interested me and  made me eager to read more but also made made me realize many things that I never knew about Hitler. By the end of the book, I kept on wanting to know more, and more about Hitler's life. I do recommend this book , because of the details and interesting subjects Thomas Fuchs reviews about Hitler's life and just the way he explains it, makes it so interesting that one will want to read it over and eager to know more.

I am a high school sophomore and had to read this book for a research project.  I found this book to be a good read.  I personally do not enjoy reading, but the book kept me entertained. The author, Thomas Fuchs, did a splendid job of deeply describing Hitler.  The book kept my attention because it focuses on concepts rather than a chronological timeline of events Hitler faced.  The topics that were essential to Hitler’s life were explained very well.  I also like that the author gave Hitler some justice.  Yes of course, Hitler was an evil man, but there is a good side to everyone.  The author showed that side of Hitler and how he was a normal man, besides the fact that he killed so many people.  The book focuses on how he was as a person, not what he physically did.  What I enjoyed most in the book was reading about the thoughts of Hitler, especially his thoughts on the United States.  After reading this book, I had a better understanding of Hitler and his actions.  Overall, I recommend this book to anyone that is curious about Adolf Hitler.  The book is an easy read and keeps you wanting to know more about Hitler.

I am a high school sophomore and had to read this book for a research project. I found this book to be very informative. Fuchs starts off by covering he little details about Hitler that I found to be very interesting. Some may think that the details are irrelevant however, I found that learning about Hitler's quirks made him seem more like a human being rather than a figure in a history book. I felt as though Fuchs went a little overboard on detail at times, when he could have covered the more important events of Hitler’s life instead of focusing so much on Hitter’s dog, for example. I found these facts to be interesting, however, the lack of detail in more important areas was quite frustrating. I would have liked to have more information on the war aspect, but reading the little facts that are not as well known was very interesting as well. I greatly enjoyed reading this book and exploring more into the mind of Adolf Hitler. Overall I highly recommend this book to anyone that needs or wants more information on Adolf Hitler.

Once the reader gets past the fact that Hitler's life is not given chronologically, it's an interesting book from the insight it gives into what Hannah Arendt called "the banality of evil." What a strange, selfish, and ultimately small person lies at the other end of such profound misery!

As a soon-to-be WWII/Holocaust historian, I was wanting to get a head start on my studying! I saw this book out of no where, the last copy at my store. I was really looking for Mien Kampf, but I "settled" for this because the backcover interested me. I did not know what I was getting myself into! This book will keep you wanting to read more and more. It is definitely concise to the brim. You learn things that you didn't want to know, but then again, it helps you understand how insane he truely was. I've had a few friends and even family come up to me and requesting to read it after I was done with it. This is a very good book to keep in your studying collection, also if you're a huge WWII fan. Hope this review helps! :D

I was very unsure of Adolf Hitlers reasons that he hated the Jews. This book was great and it answered all my questions. I even used it for my Book report at school.

This book was great. I read it for school and it really held my attention. Hitler was fascinating in a sick way. I would recommend this book, and from me, that's a lot, because I dont like to read.
