Overview

Confessions of a Pirate is an epic story of romance; romance of freedom, romance of a lovers heart, romance of the sea, and a romance for Spanish gold.
Kelly Diego, convicted pirate doomed to be hanged by sunrise, befriends a boy to confess his crimes and purge his conscience. Navigator of the French galley, Summer's Dream, he imparts on a tale of plundering gold from the Spanish treasure fleets under the captaincy of the Czar, French aristocrat turned Robin Hood of the Spanish Main, Jean Paul Salazar.
Eventually captured by the French Navy, Jean Paul is forced by King Louis XV to bring to justice by himself, the most notorious cutthroat of all pirates, Scottish devil, Captain Balthazar Slash, in a sordid, political deal to save his imprisoned crew from the hangmans noose.
Murder, seduction, lascivious sex, and mutiny ensue before Jean Paul captain turned bounty hunter finds himself having to save not only his ransomed crew, but the love of his life, Rachel, caught in the crossfire between he and the devil incarnate.
With 18th century New Orleans as the lavish, posh, decadent backdrop, Captain Balthazar Slashs deadly seductress, Tasha, pulls Jean Paul into her bed to thwart his scheme.
Ultimately, pirate is pitted against pirate to the death to save their women, their fortunes, and their freedom.

Editorial Reviews

novelist - Steven Lovejoy
Confessions of a Pirate is full of more action and plot twists to keep the most avid readers' thirst quenched. A plausible, historically accurate pirate story that makes you feel you experienced something real, with a villian so dastardly, you cant help but love him. Joey Balboa takes rabid pirate sex and turns it into a wild romp worthy of the best romance novelist. Altogether, I was riveted to the first page to the explosive climax. A must read! - Steven Lovejoy, novelist
