Overview

His father, a WW-2 veteran, recalled to active duty to fight in Korea had been killed in action. He died as a Marine Gunnery Sergeant. The promise was that neither the father or mother, both undocumented Mexican migrant workers, would be deported. Ed, however, was a natural born American and was safe except from the California authorities.
Despite the promises, his mother was arrested and deported. Ed was incarcerated as a 'homeless minor' in a California Youth Facility from age fourteen to eighteen. Upon his release, the State listed him as a felon, an ex-convict and, thus, unable to find work. Prospective employers said, California wouldn't lie; if they say you are an ex-convict, then you are.
In desperation, Ed turned to 'breaking and entering'. He became a thief in the night and was exceptionally successful.
This story (written as an autobiography) follows his successful career, the momentary speed bump when he was arrested in Dallas but beat the charge, then bought a mail order course to become a preacher. Follow Ed's career, Ed's life as he finds how to atone for his past misdeeds.

Meet the Author

Raised in an Army family and having resided in Europe and Asia, I have gained a great respect for the variance in cultures with whom we, as Americans, associate. A mathematics graduate with a psychology minor I have worked most of my professional life in finding ways to build computer systems that more accurately fulfill the needs and thought patterns of their human users.
My interest in mystery stories and novels, especially ‘Ellery Queen’ (Nathan/Lepofsky) and Agatha Christie (yes, that was her real name) caused an ambition to simmer in me to write my own. I am sure you will find it different as well as entertaining. And writing a book is a lot more fun than designing computer systems!
