Overview

She may be tough, beautiful, and practically perfect in every way, but saving the world is only easy when you're Wonder Woman. Being a mom, on the other hand? Now, that takes some serious superpowers. A lasso of truth, bulletproof wristbands, and an invisible airplane. Throw in a golden tiara, great hair, and abs made of steel and you've got a gal theoretically capable of saving the planet (and looking fabulous in the process, too, I might add). But moms aren't looking to save the world. Nope. They'd settle for well-behaved kids, a clean home, an occasional nap or two, and maybe an uninterrupted trip to the bathroom every once in a while. They'd trade in the need for perfection--the desire for acceptance--and willingly cast aside those unrealistic expectations they've placed upon themselves in their roles as mothers. Confessions of a Wonder Woman Wannabe provides the modern-day mommy with sanity-saving tips, advice, and hilarious real-life accounts that every supermom can most certainly relate to, benefit from, and appreciate. After all, the reader may not have been born with superhuman strength, but with God on her side, Jesus in her heart, and the Holy Spirit in her corner, she's more than equipped to handle the daily battles that rage before her. ""So hold on tight, girls, as we prepare to tackle this role of motherhood together: the good, the bad, (the slightly ugly), and everything in between."

Meet the Author

As a self-proclaimed (and slightly crazed) Wonder Woman Wannabe herself, JENNY LEE SULPIZIO is a Christian wife and mother to three amazing kiddos. After hanging up her star-spangled bloomers (and that restrictive red corset) a few years back, Jenny now spends most of her "spare" time dishing out the latest in tips, hints, and practical advice to help guide other mommies through the trenches of motherhood. And when she isn’t cooking, cleaning, or attempting to raise her kids right (as in manner-possessing, respectful, God-loving little tikes), Jenny can usually be found writing about it instead. Jenny resides in Boise, Idaho.

More and more women are starting down the road to motherhood without a mom or mentor close by to help navigate the realities. Jenny Sulpizio is that sister in the trenches of motherhood that so many of us long for. You’ll feel like you’re having popcorn with the kind of friend who knows what you keep in your purse, because Jenny opens up her life and heart with a transparency that is truly a gift to moms today. With humor that will do a girl a lot of good, Jenny shares practical wisdom and real life confessions every woman can relate to. She once loathed mini-vans, neglected her crock pot, and despised housework too, yet she tackled the challenge of mothering her crew and now she shares her discoveries, her hard-won lessons, and her confessions. In these Confessions of a Wonder Woman Wannabe, Jenny Sulpizio puts her arm around moms and has the kind of chat we’ve been waiting for. You can’t help but walk away feeling refreshed and hopeful on your valuable journey of mothering.
